About

The KAPS Fundraising Committee is exactly what the name implies. Our purpose in the KAPS organization is to empower KAPS to fulfill its mission statement of promoting the growth of pharmacy students into practitioners through the raising of funds.

As a committee we will hold several events which have been popular in years past such as the Faculty Auction. There are also newer initiatives such as Caffeinate with KAPS which developed only last year and will be improved upon this upcoming semester!

The Fundraising Committee and what it produces is really what enables the KAPS organization to succeed. So if you have a marketing or business background and this interests you, or if you have never even sold something on EBay, your involvement in the Fundraising Committee would be pivotal to the success of KAPS as an organization.

4. What got you into pharmacy and what are your pharmacy Interests?
I got into pharmacy because I saw it as the perfect mix of both patient care and science. Pharmacy also allows you to utilize your skills in so many different ways and areas as a part of the healthcare team. As of now, my main interest is ambulatory care. I still have 3 years to go so I’m sure it may change!
5. What’s your favorite thing about KAPS?
My favorite thing about KAPS is the large variety of opportunities to volunteer and learn from. If you have a particular interest, there’s most likely something in KAPS for you to be involved with that aligns with those interests.

I love the unique relationships that pharmacists can have with their patients, and the continual expansion and recognition of pharmacists' clinical abilities keeps me excited about the future of our career. I am interested in both ambulatory and long-term care.

It is a great way to get involved, meet others, and learn more about the profession in different ways. With so many opportunities, if you're not sure where exactly your interests lie, KAPS has you covered!
