Graduation Cord RequirementsAny Student Pharmacist who wishes to be eligible to wear NCPA Student Pharmacist Graduation Honor Cords must meet the following NCPA national criteria:
Be an active NCPA Student Member at the time of graduation Have held an active membership with NCPA for at least 50% of the time enrolled with his or her respective university/college of pharmacy Have attended at least one (1) local NCPA student chapter general meeting per semester, except when he or she is away on APPE rotations Attended either the NCPA Annual Convention or Legislative Conference at least once OR participated in at least five (5) local NCPA student chapter events, not to include general meetings, over the course of his or her membership |

Pronouns: He/him/his 1. What year in pharmacy school are you? PY3 2. Where did you do your pre-pharmacy work? UK 3. How many years in undergrad? 2 4. Tell us about what your elected position does in KAPS. NCPA focuses on community pharmacy and its many roles in the patient care process. I oversee organizing events, communicating with the national office, and broad communication with fellow KAPS members and executive board. 5. What got you into pharmacy and what are your pharmacy interests? I started working in an independent in my hometown in the summer after I started college and loved it so I planned on attending after that. As of now community pharmacy is my biggest interest but I have liked my institutional rotations so I am open to a job in that field, too. 6. What’s your favorite thing about KAPS? Networking experiences and getting to work with and meet people from other classes. 7. What are you planning for KAPS for the upcoming year? NCPA Annual Convention, Small Business Saturday, McKesson Pharmacy Presentation, Student Ownership Bootcamp, potentially more. |

1. What year in pharmacy school are you? PY2 2. Where did you do your pre-pharmacy work? UK 3. How many years in undergrad? 4 - B.S. in Neuroscience 4. What got you into pharmacy and what are your pharmacy interests? Currently, I have strong interests in Infectious diseases and Internal medicine. I hope after shadowing in each of these departments I will have a better idea! 5. What are you planning for KAPS for the upcoming year? We are hoping to incorporate ways for our classmates to be able to assist and volunteer at independent community pharmacies. We also are looking to bring in Pharmacists that provide unique services in their community Pharmacies to speak at either Convocation or other KAPS events. Our last main target for this school year is to help produce and distribute educational materials for our ambulatory patients. |
